Use Watermark PDF on review copies so status is visible, while relying on separate permissions and version control for actual access.

Watermark PDF pages with one red text label placed diagonally across the middle. TiPDF applies the chosen text and opacity to all or selected pages and saves a new file locally.
Watermark PDF embeds standard Helvetica and draws one line of red text at a 35-degree angle near the vertical middle of every selected page. The x coordinate tries to center the measured label but never starts left of 24 points. The current handler does not tile the text or repeat it around the page.
Watermark PDF font size is calculated from page width and text length, then clamped between 20 and 64 points. Long labels therefore become smaller, while short labels stop growing at 64. Opacity is clamped from 0.05 through 1; the default is 0.25. The page's existing objects remain underneath the new vector label.
A Watermark PDF label communicates status or ownership visually, but it is not access control. Recipients can still read, copy, edit or remove content using capable software. Watermark PDF output should not be described as encryption, redaction, certificate signing or proof of authorship.

Choose one authentic .pdf up to 100 MiB and 500 pages for Watermark PDF. The browser validates its extension, signature and parser readability. Encrypted files need authorized unlocking first. The tool does not inspect whether an existing watermark or central artwork is already present.
Enter the Watermark PDF text; the default is CONFIDENTIAL. The current input is a single text value, not an image, logo file, multi-line block or dynamic filename token. Helvetica may not represent every Unicode character, and unsupported glyphs or complex scripts can fail or render incorrectly. Test the actual output.
Opacity uses a numeric control from 0.05 to 1 in 0.05 steps. Page selection supports all, numbers, ranges, odd and even. One text and one opacity apply to the entire selected set. The output remains PDF with an edited suffix.
Choose a short status such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL that recipients will understand. Do not imply legal protection the mark cannot provide.
Look for central diagrams, signatures, small text and mixed page sizes. One fixed 35-degree placement may overlap important material.
Enter all or ranges, then choose visibility from 0.05 to 1. Test a restrained value before using full opacity.
The browser calculates a 20–64 point Helvetica size, centers the red diagonal text and writes one label per selected page.
Check light and dark artwork, print preview, clipped labels and unselected pages. Keep the source because this workflow does not include a remove-watermark command.

Place a prominent reminder on selected pages. A label cannot stop screenshots, extraction or forwarding.
Mark evaluation copies before sharing them through an approved channel. Verify that the label does not obscure accessibility-critical content.
Use Watermark PDF for a plain status such as PRELIMINARY. There is no automatic user name, date, page number or unique tracking token.
The label is vector text, so it normally remains crisp without rasterizing existing page content. Automatic font sizing helps it fit many widths, but centering and a 35-degree rotation can still clip on narrow, rotated or cropped pages. Low opacity can disappear over busy artwork, while high opacity can obscure source information.
Watermark PDF editing rewrites the document. Certificate signatures covering the original bytes may become invalid, and tags or reading order do not automatically incorporate the visual label. The text does not reserve space or adapt color for contrast. When a watermark must meet branding, accessibility or legal specifications, use a publishing workflow with explicit layout review. Inspect pages with photographs, dark fills, narrow columns and signatures separately. Compare screen and print output, confirm the label stays legible without covering evidence, and keep an unmarked source for future revisions.
PDF parsing, font embedding and drawing happen in browser memory on the current device. No document bytes are sent to conversion, storage, sharing or AI endpoints, and no remote approval is requested. Normal application resources may still use network connections.
The source and downloaded result remain on the device after processing. TiPDF cannot erase local copies, backups or later shares. Avoid putting sensitive personal information into watermark text because the label becomes visible content in every selected page. Retain backups.
Yes. The handler draws one custom text value in standard Helvetica.
No. Image watermark PDF input and logos are not implemented.
Yes. This local workflow has no checkout or account requirement, subject to file and page limits.
No. It is placed near the middle at a fixed 35-degree angle.
No. One label is drawn on each selected page.
No. It is a visible reminder, not encryption or permission enforcement.
Not with this tool. It only adds new text and does not detect existing marks.
Write plain consecutive footer numbers on all or selected pages from a chosen starting value.
Add a visible text note to selected PDF pages without replacing existing content.
Apply AES-256 locally with one shared user/owner password and clearly defined PDF permission flags.
Use Flatten PDF for supported layers, form fields and annotations with exact counts.
Watermark PDF capability copy was verified on July 18, 2026 against the local editor that embeds Helvetica, computes a 20–64 point size, centers red text at mid-page, rotates it 35 degrees and clamps opacity to 0.05–1. Verification covers a partial page range, default and custom labels, minimum and maximum opacity, visible vector output and unchanged page count. A PDF watermark online result is also reviewed for clipping and overlap on different source dimensions. These checks describe the implemented label path, not downstream viewer behavior. It excludes image marks, tiling, custom position, removal, tracking and security guarantees.
