Sign PDF files by typing the name you want shown on one chosen page. TiPDF writes an italic visual signature and line near the lower-right corner locally, then downloads a separate copy.
When you sign PDF pages here, the PDF signer takes the entered name, embeds the standard Times Roman Italic font and draws the text near the lower-right of the selected page in dark blue. It adds a thin horizontal line beneath the name to create a familiar signature-block appearance. The font size adapts between 18 and 36 points according to name length, and the position accounts for the measured text width.
This is a visible mark, not a cryptographic digital signature. It does not use a signing certificate, private key, timestamp authority, identity check or tamper-evident signature field. A viewer will see the typed name, but cannot use that mark alone to verify who placed it or whether the PDF changed later. The output metadata deliberately identifies the signature type as visual.
Use Sign PDF only when a typed visual acknowledgment fits the receiving workflow. Contracts, regulated submissions and documents requiring verified identity may need a certificate-backed signing platform or a qualified electronic-signature process. PDF Form Filler is more suitable for populating existing AcroForm fields; it can be followed by this tool only if a separate typed mark is acceptable.

To sign PDF content, select one genuine .pdf up to 100 MiB and no more than 500 readable pages. The page must be a whole number within the document. TiPDF rejects an empty name, invalid page, damaged content, renamed non-PDF, or encrypted file it cannot open.
Sign PDF places the mark on exactly one page. Its baseline sits 54 PDF points above the bottom, with a line at 48 points and a right margin of 42–48 points. The PDF signer does not offer drag positioning, multiple signatures, initials, date fields, images, handwritten drawing, colors, or font choices.
Times Roman Italic has limited character coverage. Some names outside its encoding may fail or render incorrectly. The tool does not embed a general Unicode signature font. Test the exact name and inspect the downloaded page.
Ask whether a visible typed name is accepted. Stop if the recipient requires identity verification, a certificate, audit trail, or protected digital signature.

When you sign PDF pages, the handler writes vector text and a vector line directly onto the page, so it does not rasterize or recompress existing images. Visual sharpness should remain stable at zoom. Placement is fixed relative to the page's lower-right and cannot understand an existing signature box, crop marks or rotated design; pages with dense footers need careful review.
Changing PDF content can invalidate a certificate signature that already exists on the source. Adding a typed name after another party cryptographically signed the file may break verification even when the new mark looks correct. Preserve signed originals and use a signing system designed for sequential digital signatures when certificate validity is required.
When you sign PDF files, the document and typed name are processed in browser memory on the current device. The Sign PDF handler does not call server conversion, storage, sharing or AI routes and does not request upload approval. Normal site resources may still use network connections; local processing refers to the document bytes.
Refreshing clears the active job, but the source and downloaded copy remain on the device. TiPDF does not store an identity credential for the typed name and cannot delete local files, backups or later shares. That absence of identity infrastructure is also why the result must not be described as verified.
